LIVING RESEARCH

A 4 month Program exploring all senses and intelligence pathways

LIFETIME ACCESS TO CONTENT

NEXT COHORT: STARTS MAY 23RD

Let’s allow for a radically different approach to learning, engaging with research, and the world around us.

traditional schooling, and academia has focused typically on cognition, and thus, limited us from the greater wonders of experience by doing so. When we’re engaging with our collective indigenous and ancestral heritage, knowledge and wisdom, it’s important that we don’t just simply process, categorize and place them in glass boxes and information outside of us.

Throughout this 4 months you’ll be invited to open up to all your senses and experience research to come alive in your own life . to become embodied wisdom you can then speak from.

Weaving with threads of knowledge to receive, digest, hold, carry, share and communicate.

WHy this program? What makes this program unique?

We draw upon the latest science, alongside new and ancient wisdom, case studies, and publications of the senses, to invite us into a conscious process of research. This is alongside Soul Seed’s own research and learning focus on herstorical knowledge, indigenous and ancestral wisdom, and ancient future technologies. Supported by guest teachers, guides and wisdom keepers.

We also invite you to co-create, participate, and contribute so that this you don’t remain in a passive consumer and student relationship to the course materials. Instead, you receive seeds of knowledge to engage with. to digest and then flourish and thrive, and then pollinate wider.

Together we create a more complete picture.

The deepest forms of research, and wisdom, is woven through our bodies, emotions, storytelling, oral history, symbolism, dreams, gestures and community care. With language rooted in land and research beginning in survival, urging us towards a process of thriving in-tune with our eco-system. We are connected to a web of culture that our ancestors are calling us home to.

COMPASS CONTENT:

1: introduction & invitation

Changing the definition of a researcher. Will you step into the identity of a living researcher with us?

2: learning about ourselves

Our lens of research is always through ourselves - how are you perceiving through your life experiences?

3: living territories

The roots of research are in survival and learning how to thrive in our environment. All indigenous and ancestral based thinking is rooted in place. What is the land teaching you?

4. Sound

Sounds make up the tapestry of our life. How do sounds impact you? Are you conscious of their impact and influence?

5. Taste

Some experiences leave us with a bitter taste and some a sweet taste, how does tastes influence our experience?

6. Scent

Scent was our first sense and our brain developed from our smell. ‘We think because we smelled.’ What thoughts come to you through scent?

7. Vision

Do we ever see things as they are or, is reality always shaped by our limits to what we are able to see? Can our vision expand and contract from experiences?

8. Voice

Our voice allows us to explore our inner territories and worlds. When so many have been silenced or suppressed can we connect to our true voice to communite with?

9. Feeling and touch

What are the textures that make you feel safe, connected, in-tune, and intelligent to your environment? How do your nerves awaken to touch?

10. Body

Alongside, our gut and heart brains - what other intelligence does our body store in its inner landscape?

11. Emotions

Our emotions can teach us so much about our relationship to experiences. What are you feeling when reading this? Are these emotions related to this moment or connected to the past?

12. Cognition

Are you thinking your own thoughts? Where do your thoughts come from? Deep within? Or in the spaces in-between us?

13. Language and form

Language can shape our reality, without words to describe an experience it can lose meaning in our culture. What is being spoken into existence and what cannot exist without words?

14. Extra sensory

What is our relationship to intuition and instinct? Do you perceive through senses beyond you?

15. Relationships

What and who are we in relationship to? To be human and alive is to be in relationship - do we understand the ways we merge and converge?

16. Ancestors

We are a living heritage of our ancestors. Do we know their stories and contribution to our lives today?

Bonus: dreams

Looking to the fascinating anthropological research of how our dreams are influenced by places and cultures. How do we dream? Can we change our dreams?

Full circle

We come full circle to our capacity to love, feel connected and what we are able to give and offer. Can you bring love to each experience and give more from that place?

GUIDED BY:

founder of soul seed gathering, Hannah Ruth Dyson is a deep feminine and earth-based cultural researcher, indigenous advocate, educational writer and speaker, healing guide, and initiated medicine keeper.

‘I began recording my own living research process in 2013 as I immersed myself into researching women’s history, and learning with indigenous elders. I realized how much my sense of reality was changing, and also how much my own being, and walk in the world, changed. Guiding others into these worlds has been some of my most fulfilling, exciting and life-affirming experiences. I come alive learning beyond a textbook, museum and classroom, and want to share that experience on-going.’

‘Just over 2 years ago I discovered Hannah Dyson and her amazing research project Soul Seed Gathering. I was immediately floored by the integrity and alignment within which she works.’

Abigail Giddings (Soul Seed House library member, Deep Feminine Soul Journey and Chapter 3 Gathering)

‘It is an opportunity to look closely at our old programs and stories and with it wonder into new territory as collaborators and as women all journeying together.’

Rozanne López (Ch1 and 2 Gatherings)

‘soul Seed Gathering is like a world seed bank. You go to the gathering to receive your soul seed and return back to your life to plant your own food forest.’

Eva Glamaris (Chapter 3 Costa Rica gathering)

‘Soul Seed Gathering offers a doorway into another world. It’s terrifying to enter because it’s the unknown but you know there is something very special on the other side.’

Becca Croft (Soul Seed House & Deep Feminine Soul Journey)

‘We’ve all come from different parts of the world, we’ve all experienced different things in our lives, there’s mothers, there are so many women who’ve gone through deep struggles and so many different types of people. We’re all here and we’re all connected...It’s so surreal to be in the presence of such deep indigenous power. I felt I was in this place of complete tranquility so connected to nature and so connected to myself…truly blessed, it was a truly blessed experience. Thank you to Hannah and all the beautiful women I met. That experience was life changing for me.’

Hannah Faith ( Chapter 2 Colombia)

‘inthe past it’s been hard for me to hold on to what I’ve learnt and integrate what I’ve learnt. This time felt different, this was different and I somehow was able to integrate what I’d learnt into a cellular level and it’s part of who I am now. Places like Soul Seed foster the awakening of a new way and the re-opening of our eyes in this really safe and sacred environment.’

‘If I could narrow it to one thing that Soul Seed did for me, and I mean this sincerely - it brought me from nothing is sacred to everything is sacred. It taught me that there’s a connection to be made with everything and that in order to reclaim the sacred there is a connection to be made with the waters and the earth, and the people harvesting our food and the fibers that make our clothes and the trees that have been here so much longer than us, each animal having its own precious life and dignity. Also talking about offerings that we have to give. These are all things I already knew in my heart but to have them spoken about in a group setting as completely normal but holy. Our voices as offerings, singing and dancing, not just as something that brings us joy but as an offering.’

Olivia Ashton (Chapter 2 & 3 gatherings)

‘After becoming a resident of the Soul Seed House last week, I cannot stop exploring! This space is more than I could have ever imagined research to embody. I hold so much respect for your process of deep listening, participatory learning and sharing of sacred knowledge in a safe, creative and nurturing space. I would be so honoured to contribute and keep learning from the House in any way possible.’

Priestley Randall (Chapter 2 Colombia)

Alexia Pedal (Soul Seed House membership)

‘I wanted you to know, that I feel truly touched by this journey. Everytime I read, I write, I hold conversations, I step into the distraction with different eyes, it is a gift. It is a passage to something deeper, for sure!’

Victoria Navarro ( Deep Feminine Soul Journey +Soul Seed House)
